Rules The 2010 Bandon Crab Derby is open to anyone who uses recreational crabbing gear only. Commercial crabbers and divers are excluded from participation in the To be eligible for any prize or consolation prize the numbered tag must be verified and personal information recorded by 12 noon September 5th 2010 at Tony’s Crab Shack. It is up to you to make sure all of the information asked for is complete and legible, if I can’t read it or it’s not complete in the book the tag will be removed and not used. Only people with valid Oregon Shell Fish licenses are eligible. Oregon rules and laws concerning crabbing are available at businesses that By accepting any prize the crabber agrees to allow the use of their name and picture in advertising and press releases. It is the prize winner’s responsibility to pay for any and all taxes associated with winning and the winners are to report any prizes on their yearly income tax reports. If a minor wins their parent or legal guardian must claim the prize. Tags that have been drawn prior to the big drawing will be reentered and eligible for other drawings including the big drawings on September 5th. If the promoter catches a tagged crab he may enter it for a contribution /donation of his choice. Example: If I catch a tagged crab I can write in the Bandon Coast Guard or the Bandon Police and if the tag is pulled they would get the prize money. Rules can also be found at: |
